Overview
This guide outlines the process to onboard Purolator with Narvar via file feed setup.
Details needed
- Account Alias — An identifier for the merchant to identify the Purolator integration in future.
Steps to be completed
Merchant Actions
- Log in to Narvar Hub and follow the steps in “Narvar Setup Steps” to complete the file feed setup for Purolator using the account alias.
- After setup is complete, copy and save the SFTP details.

Contact the Purolator POC and share the saved SFTP details and the sample file format attached below to set up the file feeds.
- Steps to setup file feeds -
- Merchants must share the prefilled form. Complete the required fields and share the form with the Purolator POC along with the SFTP details obtained after Narvar setup completion.
- Below are the steps to fill the form:
- Fill the basic contact details.
- Fill the EDI Service Request Required section.
- Fill in Shipment Status Request as shown in the form.
- Fill in the Primary Status Recipient and add the SFTP details obtained (host, username, password, and path).
- After the form is complete, Purolator creates the EDI feed and notifies you if all information is accurate.

Carrier Actions
The merchant can follow up with Purolator for the steps below:
- Turn on the Tracking Feed.
- Start sending the required tracking files to the provided SFTP location details.
- Narvar uses these files to support its tracking and notification features.
Narvar Setup Steps
This illustrates the process with an example. Follow the steps below to add your Purolator integrations. Use the link above to access the specific carrier setup guide.
- Log in to Narvar Hub and navigate to the Menu > Carrier > Carrier Integration.
- Click Add Carrier in the top right corner.
- Choose the specific carrier you want to add from the Carrier List drop-down provided.
- If you can’t find your carrier in the search/dropdown, click the “can’t find your carrier? Contact us” CTA.
- Fill the form. The Narvar team contacts you.
- Once you find your carrier, select FileFeed from the Select Source Type and click Next.
- Enter an “Account Alias” to help you identify the connection.
- If the Account Alias already exists for Purolator, a message appears as shown in the screenshot. Use a different alias. This helps you identify multiple file feed integrations for Purolator in future.
- If the entered account alias is correct, clicking TEST shows a “Validation successful” message.
- Once testing is complete, click Finish. A pop-up appears with the SFTP details.
- View the SFTP details, copy them, and share them with Purolator to set up the file feeds.
- After clicking “CLOSE”, you will be redirected to the Carrier Integrations page, where Purolator appears as an integrated carrier.
Edit/Update Flow
If details change (account alias), follow the steps below.
- Log in to Narvar Hub and navigate to Menu > Carrier > Carrier Integrations
- Find the carrier integration that needs to be updated and click the Edit icon.
- Update with the new account alias.
- Test and validate.
- On successful tests and validation, a successful validation message appears. Click Update.
- After updating, view and copy the details and save them for future reference.
- You will be redirected to the Carrier Integrations page, where the updated Purolator appears with the latest timestamp.
