File Feeds: Track & Notify

What are the steps/actions to be done in order to successfully setup the File feeds for Track and Notify product?

Action 1: What retailers have to do

Retailers need to share account number/s of Canada Post for their outbound shipments with Narvar. Team Narvar will take it to the next steps of activating the Tracking Feeds with Canada Post.

Only if Retailers want to initiate the Process on their own with CanadaPost then the attached form needs to be filled and submitted to Carrier POC (Point of Contact). Otherwise Narvar will fill the form and share it to the Carrier Representative, no need for carrier POC introduction here.

Follow the exact Procedure to fill the form.

Steps to Submit request for generating Production Tracking Credentials.

Step 1: Fill the basic information demonstrated in the Image. In case you have dedicated POC from Narvar Logistics Team then they can add their details in IT (Technical) Contact section otherwise they can add


Step 2: Fill the form as per the images shown:


Step 3: Once completed, save the form and share it with your respective carrier POC. You can use the following email template to send the request for enabling tracking feed.

Email Template:

"Hi [Carrier Rep],

We are working with a new data partner, Narvar, to enhance our customers’ package tracking and communication. To get everything set up, they need a tracking data feed for our outbound shipments.
We need your help to get the tracking updates for the accounts mentioned in the attached APT form.

Kindly set up a file feed and share the SFTP location credentials with us. Please let me know for any issues or questions.”

Action 2: What carrier is expected to do afterwards

If a retailer has shared only an Account Number/s with Narvar, then Narvar will request establishment of Tracking Feed with CanadaPost by submitting the EDI Request form [attached below] after filling the necessary Data.

If form is submitted by retailer already then Narvar will wait to receive the credentials from Canada Post.

Carrier will enable the tracking feed and share the credentials with the Narvar Contact specified in the IT (Technical) Contact section.


Action 3: What Narvar will do to complete the integration

Narvar will proactively support the queries raised by either of the parties. Once received the SFTP location and credentials, we will enable the route at our end for data consumption. As soon as we start receiving files, they will be processed and data will be consumed to support the Track and Notify Mechanism.

Narvar, will share a few sample tracking links, to demonstrate the integration is done, if receiving Files then will mark the integration as completed.
