File Feeds: Track & Notify

What are the steps/actions to be done in order to successfully setup the file feeds for Track and Notify product?

Action 1: What retailers have to do

Retailers have to introduce Carrier POC (Point of Contact)/ 3PL POC to Narvar so we can establish a FileFeed Integration with DPD UK to receive Tracking Updates via Files to support Track & Notify. Also, retailers need to share Account Number with Narvar.

For Carrier POC Introduction the following template can be used.

Email Template:

"Hi [Carrier Rep],

We are working with a new data partner, Narvar, to enhance our customers’ package tracking and communication. To get everything set up, they need a tracking data feed for our outbound shipments. Could you kick off the process to get them set up with an Extended status file? Narvar carrier specialist [Engineer Name] will be your main POC, but also keep me and Narvar team members on this email included in all communication. Thanks!"

Note: Kindly keep us in loop for visibility and active responses.

Action 2: Narvar will share the necessary details

Once Narvar has the access to Account Number/s, Narvar will fill the EDI Survey Request Form and Submit it to Carrier POC.

Below Steps will be followed to fill the form Estes Express Lines EDI Survey.

Step 1: Select 214 Shipment Status

Step 2: Add Narvar SFTP Details

Step 3: Based on Notification Triggers select the additional Triggers if required

Step 4: Save the form and Share it to Estes Carrier POC and request them for a Tracking EDI Feed also provide the Receiver ID, it is nothing but a combination of NVR[retailer_name] for uniquely identifying the feed.

Note: Mention to enable the Production Feed straightway than enabling Testing Feed first.

Action 3: What Carrier is expected to do afterwards

Carrier needs to enable the Tracking Feed and let the Narvar know once the feed is enabled and Narvar will be able to continuously receive the Feed.

Action 4: What Narvar will do to complete the integration

Narvar will proactively support the queries raised by either of the parties. Once received the SFTP location and credentials, we will enable the route at our end for data consumption. As soon as we start receiving files, they will be processed and data will be consumed to support the Track and Notify Mechanism.

Narvar will share a few sample tracking links, to demonstrate the integration is done, if receiving Files then will mark the integration as completed.
