Overview

The Delivery Notifications component allows customers to opt-in to SMS delivery updates for their orders. Delivery notification opt-ins can reduce delivery exceptions by up to 35%, reducing consumer anxiety and WISMO calls.

Personalizing the Delivery Notification block

The Delivery Notification block is added to new experiences by default, but you have the ability to move the location of the block, edit the settings, or remove the block altogether. To update the delivery notification block, navigate to the Experience Editor of the experience which you wish to personalize. Once on the Experience Editor, click on the delivery notifications block and the settings panel will open to the right.

  • Notification Type - The Notification Type setting enables you to choose the type of notification for which consumers can opt-in.
  • SMS Opt-in Disclaimer - This setting gives you the ability to display or hide the SMS opt-in GDPR disclaimer message—by default the message is hidden.
  • Marketing Opt-in Disclaimer - With Narvar, you can integrate with a third-party to capture marketing opt-ins directly from the Track page. When activated, this setting enables marketing opt-ins and gives you the ability to link to your terms & conditions and privacy policy.
  • Text - The Text settings empower you to customize the copy displayed in the delivery notification block for different block states including:
    • Connection Issue
    • Opt In Confirmation
    • Opt Out Confirmation
    • Unsubscribed

Order Opt-ins

By default, opt-ins on the Track page will attempt to subscribe the customer to updates for all deliveries in an order. This would cover shipments, pickups (BOPIS), return shipments, and pre-shipment updates. If we are unable to opt the customer into order updates, we will fall back to a shipment-level opt-in.

Analytics

Opt-in analytics for SMS channel are displayed on the SMS Engagement Analytics page.
