Image Assets Overview

Narvar Track improves your ability to manage image assets, banner messages, and branding assets your brand uses when engaging with your consumers during the post-purchase experience. 

 

To begin managing your image assets, log in to the Narvar Hub, open the menu on the top left corner, and select Image Assets

On the Image Assets page you can search for specific assets by name, filter by category, filter by asset location such as emails or track pages, or filter by status either active or archived. To add a new image asset, click Add New in the top right corner. 

Image Asset Editor & Management

The Image Asset Information section is where you add your image and relevant information. When adding a new image follow the steps below:

  • Drag and drop the image into the section provided on the page.
    • Once added, you can crop or rotate the image by clicking on the crop icon as well as select a predefined image ratio to fit the image to one of Narvar’s layouts.

  • Provide a name for the image to be used when searching through your image list.
  • Choose the location for the image either Emails, Tracking Pages, or both.
  • Select the appropriate category for the image from the drop-down menu. 
  • Pick your preferred orientation for the image in the final drop-down menu.

Image Asset Sizes 

The max image file size for Track upload is 10mb per image. We recommend the following asset sizes to create a clean and well-designed track experience. All recommendations are in pixels. 

Tip:When there are multiple assets in a row, we recommend using the same size and aspect ratio for each image in the row to create a polished, even look for desktop users.

Tip:Have call to action (CTA) buttons integrated into your marketing assets so consumers have a signal to tap and click.

Recommendations for mobile browser assets

Since mobile browsers only display a single column for the user with Narvar Track pages, asset width is the critical dimension while height can be variable across assets without causing a poor layout experience for users.

Supported Image Types

Track's Experience editor supports .gif, .jpg, .png, and streaming video links—embedded video is currently not supported. 

URLs & Alt Text Section

Click Add Locales and a pop-up window will open where you can select the locales to which you want to add the image. You can select all locales for a specific language, or individual locales for each language. After you’ve selected the locales, click Apply in the corner to save your selection. 

Once you’ve added your locales, update the URL for emails, the URL for the track page, and the alternative text for each locale you’ve selected. 

Dynamic URLS

Track supports the ability for an asset to use a variable from page context as part of the URL. This allows for a merchant to link customers to more contextual pages based on the customer’s order details.

Sample use cases may be to link to help or carrier pages for a specific tracking number, link to a page specific to an order number, or link to a page with a custom attribute.

  • Delivery Management Page - If you want to link to a support page or a carrier’s page that would display more relevant context based on the tracking number, you can can use a URL like:
  • https://www.mysite.com/en/us/help?tracking_number={{trackingNumbers.0}}
  • Order Details Page - If you want to link to an order details page or another page that is dependent on the order number, you can use a URL like:
  • https://www.mysite.com/en/us/orderDetails?order_number={{orderNumbers.0}}
  • UTM Tracking - If you want to use UTM tags to attribute clicks to specific track statuses to gain more insight into which stages of the post-purchase experience customers are most engaged, you can do so using the {{trackingStatus}} parameter:
  • https://www.mysite.com/en/us/womens?utm_source={{trackingStatus}}

Managing Image Assets

Once an image asset has been created a new image cannot be swapped in, you must create a new image asset and upload the necessary fields. 

You can manage an image asset by navigating to the Image Asset page and clicking on the three dots beside the asset.

  • Duplicate an asset to customize the settings without changing the original. 
  • Deleting an asset is permanent and cannot be undone.
  • Archiving an asset will move the asset to the Archived folder where the asset can be restored for use if necessary.

You can also archive or delete an asset from the Image Asset Settings page as well by clicking Manage in the top right corner of the page.
