Overview

Return outcomes help you retain more revenue by providing your customers with the ability to exchange products, receive gift card refunds, and return or exchange items received as a gift. 

  • Exchanges allow customers to exchange an item they received for a different variant like size or color. If enabled, the Exchanges feature will automatically tag any exchange orders with a specific "narvar_exchange_order” tag.
  • Gift Card Refunds allow customers to receive a gift card for the value of their return instead of a refund to their original form of payment.
  • Gift Returns allow customers to return or exchange an item that they received as a gift. If a customer wants to initiate a gift return, they’ll select Start a Gift Return in the customer return portal. Customers will enter their order number and billing code to initiate their gift return.

Note: While unlikely, there is an increased risk of fraud for gift returns. This is due to the relative ease at which fraudsters can guess zip codes and order numbers. Narvar continuously monitors for rare instances of suspicious or fraudulent activity and will report them if necessary. If this is a concern, you can contact Narvar to authenticate gift returns with Gift Codes instead of a billing zip code and order number.
